5 Questions to Finding a Reno Real Estate Buyer’s Agent
1. Is Real Estate Your Full Time Occupation?
Back in the heyday of Real Estate, just about everyone knew someone who had their real estate license and then the market crashed. Make sure you qualify your agent and ensure they have the time available to meet your needs.
2. How many homes have you sold?
This one might be misleading, it isn’t about quantity but more about quality. Ask your agent for some references of recently sold transaction, this will help you weed out agents that aren’t meeting customer’s demands.
3. What’s your fee?
Sellers customarily pay buyer’s agents through a commission, but make sure to ask your agent before you begin the house hunt!
4. What services do you provide?
Agents in the area all vary on what exactly they do, some will drive you around from home to home, some might offer a market analysis prior to writing an offer, check with your agent and see what benefits they provide.
5. When am I committed to working with you as an agent?
Typically Seller’s are going to pay the buyer’s agent who first brought you to a property, therefore if you decide not to use this agent, you will need to pay the new agent you hire on your own, which can be expensive.
