Are home owners still defaulting?
LPS came out with their July stats for loan delinquencies.. Article here. There’s some good information but I’ll just highlight the biggies. Link to the actual data at the bottom.
Here are the stats…
- US loan delinquency rate at 7.03%
- Month-over-month decline by 1.06%
- Year-over-year decline by 11%
- Foreclosure starts at 186,000 with foreclosure sales/liquidation at 98,000
- 55% of Nevada loans are under water. Leading the nation.
